

Devizes 2nd XI produced a dominant all-round performance on Saturday as they secured a convincing 8-wicket win away to DC United.
After winning the toss and bowling first, Devizes were superb in the field, dismissing DC United for 149 in 35 overs. The bowlers shared the wickets around brilliantly, with Adam Pithouse leading the attack with an outstanding 5-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5-32 from his 7 overs. Dan Gaw also impressed with 2-16, while Jack Dunford, Harley Woodman and Cameron Lee all chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Devizes backed up the bowling effort with an excellent display in the field, holding a string of catches to keep DC United under pressure throughout the innings. Saurabh Singh top-scored for the hosts with 51, but regular wickets prevented any real momentum.
In reply, Devizes made light work of the chase. Cameron Lee got the innings off to a strong start with a composed 53, before Luke Hamblen took control with a superb 70. The pair put Devizes firmly in command and ensured there were few alarms during the chase.
Harley Woodman and Louis Bailey saw the side home comfortably as Devizes reached 152-2 in the 34th over to wrap up an excellent away victory and collect 24 league points.
