Unfortunately the local derby between Devizes and Bishops Cannings had to be abandoned due to rain. ?️?

Before the weather closed in, Devizes had put in a strong performance in the field, reducing Bishops Cannings to 171-6 from 39 overs after winning the toss and electing to bowl.
Wickets were shared around with Ben McGowan, Jon Candler, Thomas Andrew, Darran Freegard and Joe Wookey all striking, alongside a run out.

Frustrating not to get a result, but plenty of positives to take from the afternoon before the rain arrived. We now look ahead to next weekend, with Devizes 1st XI travelling away to face Swindon 2nd XI.
